What’s that you say? Another tragic day? The same canned story, with template graphics long conveyed And yet we hear, about a coming change That falls on deaf ears, the cycle carries on and on again What’s that you say, another tragic day This time won’t be the last time As we light the fuse of malcontent and scream Day after day We grow passive with each moment As we accept that change is not on its way So what now? As it falls apart and it carries on You wait for your false savior And a prophecy of a broken past gone As it falls apart, and we burn it down We offer up slayed children And a sacrifice to the brass shell gods Another tragic day, and it won’t be the last time They’ll try to simplify, while they ignore the lie again Day after day We grow passive with each moment As we accept that change is not on its way So what now? As it falls apart and it carries on You wait for your false savior And a prophecy of a broken past gone As it falls apart, and we burn it down We offer up slayed children And a sacrifice to the brass shell gods Their lives, cut short Cash prize, rewards Act now, supplies are limited

I come in peace, is what you said We never seemed to move on What else is new, there's no guarantee Just fractured particles, crushed beneath What do you say, what do you say We're just damaged goods Left aside with fraught, left aside to rot What should we do, when there's nothing left Our resolve held strong til the end This is not our time, this is not our day We sought the answers but were led astray What do you say, what do you say We're just damaged goods Left aside with fraught, left aside to rot Is this how it ends when, No one seems to care Revenge it is not, all persistence is lost And we mourn our resolve, all that's left is broken We're just damaged goods Left aside with fraught, left aside to rot What do you say, what do you say

about

Fire Sale is a punk supergroup composed of former members of Face to Face, No Use For A Name, and The Ataris. Their new 2-song Single was mixed/mastered at The Blasting Room (owned by Bill Stevenson of The Descendents) and has hand-painted art by Mark deSalvo, known for classic album covers (NOFX, Lagwagon and Pulley). "The Albatross" starts with an intricate bass line that builds momentum into galloping pop-punk drums and the gang vocals that Fire Sale has become known for. Lyrics delve into the difficult issue of gun violence and scream for a change. B-Side "I Remember Damage" features melodic vocals that ride the wave of driving power chords and a lead guitar riff that dances all over the fretboard.
