Baltimore 03:37
There’s someone here Who missed out on a chance they never took Someone waiting for true love, but don’t know where to look Someone here, will spend their dying minute on their phone Someone here, will make it big, but spend their night alone Someone waiting on a bus, their one last chance to leave Someone wants to take a step outside and finally feel the breeze With the weight, of the world, sometimes it’s hard to breathe But it always feels better when We thank the streets The ones that seem to connect right to our heartbeats yeah And I don’t see the answers in the stars tonight All I know is you and I We’re always somehow destined for a journey and much more Baltimore I’m waking up, and breaking down I’ve had enough, I’m flunking out And Baltimore do you like me now Can you hear the words that I’m screaming out? There’s someone here Who’s smoking up and trying to pretend Someone looking through the glass, to see the other end There’s someone here, who lost it all and left it in the flames But it all feels better when We thank the streets The ones that seem to connect right to our heartbeats yeah And I don’t see the answers in the stars tonight All I know is you and I We’re always somehow destined for a journey and much more Baltimore I’m waking up, and breaking down I’ve had enough, I’m flunking out And Baltimore do you like me now Can you hear the words that I’m screaming out? There’s someone thinking that this life should give them more And someone on their last breath wishing for one more Cause in the end all we have is the road we take But it all feels better when I’m waking up, and breaking down I’ve had enough, I’m flunking out And Baltimore do you like me now Can you hear the words that I’m screaming out?

It was another mile back to your house The place it went wrong, the summer heat, bare feet, fresh cut lawns And in your mind, I know you’re there You could scream to the skies but the clouds don’t care About the one’s you lost, about your broken trust, about the night your dad packed up Said he had enough I know it messed you up and all the things you loved It was the night that got away from us I let it replay in my head Of how you stole a part of me instead Follow me through the dark I can’t think of a better place to start with you now I think you’ve been waiting so long to find your place And where you belong It was another minute back to the perfect sunrise One thing I hate so much are the goodbyes If I could fix the world then I would meet you there Somehow in a perfect situation, the clouds would always care About the one’s you lost, about your broken trust, about the night your man walked out Said he had enough And every year that passes by, you just wanna try Try to come back home I let it replay in my head Of how you stole a part of me instead Follow me through the dark I can’t think of a better place to start with you now I think you’ve been waiting so long to find your place And where you belong

about

The Last Second Save was created by songwriter Jesse Procaccini to channel his creative vision and inner-most thoughts. The 2-song single "Baltimore," produced by Will Beasley and Paul Leavitt (All Time Low, The Dangerous Summer), has elevated his music and opened the door to a new era in his expression. In the single “Baltimore,” Jesse teams up with fellow Maryland songwriter Ben DeHan to pen verses worthy of that city’s literary history. This song illuminates the possible by imagining what’s right around the corner and a new future that starts with a first step. B-side “Next Best Thing” is an upbeat journey through an old memory whose verses are reminiscent of The Starting Line covering Tom Petty.
